Sikkim govt website got Hacked to register protest

A Kashmiri group has allegedly hacked the Sikkim government web site. Hacker hacked web site not for any benefit but to register a protest against the alleged violence in Kashmir....



The hacked website, www.sikkim-culture.gov. representation of the Cultural Affairs and Heritage Department of the Sikkim government, which promotes art and culture of the north-eastern state.


The page is blocked as soon after the Sikkim government website hacking broke in front of the concerned authorities. The page displaying ‘free Kashmir and Palestine, Kashmir and Palestine doing one struggle.


The hacker identifies itself as Zcompany hacking crew. The hacker claims to have hacked the website by mentioning ‘hacked by Zcompany hacking crew’.


Hackers owing the claims of hacked website of Sikkim government have posted a message and pictures of the agitators on the page. They posted a message on the webpage which reads , “Everyday hundreds of innocent people are abused, raped and even killed in Palestine and Kashmir by the Indian and Israeli armies, a third of the deaths are children, who are the real soldiers? The child holding a stone or the stranger holding a gun.”


Hackers also left behind two pictures of stone-pelting protesters in Kashmir and Palestine, which has now been removed by the website hosting the images.


In past several months was involved in a number of similar hacking incidents. Earlier, another group of hackers, calling themselves Cyber Sangbaaz (Stone-pelters) Force, hacked a website dedicated to Amitabh Bachchan.


The names of some of the hackers who hacked the Amitabh Bachchan fan website also appeared on the hacked Sikkim government website, indicating that the two groups work in tandem.
